I've decided that I will start trying to build (Slowly, ofc!) an herbal consulting client base, as a Natural Health Consultant. I have a masters in acupuncture and oriental medicine (oriental medicine = Chinese herbs), years of experience with Western herbs, a MS in Management, a BS in biochemistry, certification as a newborn massage instructor (teach parents/caregivers how to massage their newborn), training as a holistic labor assistant/doula, and certification in auriculotherapy (currently checking to see if I could use pressballs, even if I can't needle until I get a license to practice acupuncture). As an herbalist, I won't be able to diagnose/treat/prescribe herbs, but will be able to consult with my clients to provide them with advice, providing them with education, and helping them to achieve a better state of health, via lifestyle changes, herbs, supplements, and referrals to other practitioners. I will have a webstore for materials that are from the hemp/ spa/ beauty/ bath/ massage product areas, add some herbal / vitamin supplements, and products that go along with the newborn massage training program that I'm certified in. It'll be slow going, but I already have a lead to teach the massage class in two locations, and will generate a list of other topics that I'd be happy to provide class sessions on.
Any comments, helpful support, recommendations, and requests for consults welcomed ;-)
