gah

I hate it when my boss has arguments with defendants right in front of me. It drove me to finally do the dictation that's been sitting here since last Friday (because I could shove headphones on my head).

It's raining. It's cold again. I have a cold that's making my ear and head ache from the sinus pressure (but it's a cold--coughing etc.--and not a sinus infection). I missed my pedicure appointment last night thinking it was next week. This week is dragging. I'm so distracted I can't even concentrate on reading fanfic, flitting from fic to fic to majong game to working. I've been hungry the last couple of days--my body going into some kind of 'needs more food' phase because I've been eating the same amount of food each day--and so I went to bed hungry rather than go over my points. I managed to walk out of the comic book store without this month's Outsiders. I can't write a thing.

And there's no SPN tonight.

DO OVER!

At least with the cold I can sing really low which is needed for the tenor part of "Old Time Religion" we're doing this Sunday. Hopefully I'll be over the stupid cold by then and will have learned the piece.

And hopefully KU won't totally embarrass itself against Oklahoma this Saturday. If we'd both won last week I believe we'd be the national 7:00 ABC game instead of the 2:30 regional, but, hey, every game so far (including next week's also on ABC at 2:30) has been televised. That's never happened! Basketball, sure, every game is always televised and has been for twenty years, but football?

I can't believe I planned my trip to Vegas to miss two football games. *sigh* Thank god for my phone and college football app. I'll also be able to keep up with LJ and reading fic instead of dragging several books along to read at night. :)

And also luckily my pedicurist was able to get me in next week at the same time as usual so I won't have skanky feet in Vegas. Sixteen days! I can't wait to see the Ho's, but also can't wait to show mom the wonders of Vegas shopping! And we got the free tickets to Ka by sitting in the light booth so we can spend even more on shoes! Actually we're going to go somewhere really fancy for dinner one night. Dad refuses to go to Vegas but I think if he really sat down and learned about the gourmet restaurants and wine, he'd be lured in.

I can't believe it's nearly Halloween which means it's nearly Thanksgiving which means it's nearly Christmas! Too soon!!! Mom was talking about buying a Christmas present for someone already. Too soon!!!

I've decided to buy a treadmill of my very own so I can walk daily. Even though it was painful to walk two days in a row last week it also felt good and I'm not huffing as much going up the stairs at court anymore (there are at least 25 stairs). I was hoping mom would just go 'oh, you can have ours since you're the only one who ever uses it' but no such luck. Oh well, I don't need to buy the superdeluxe model they have. I'd like one that is portable and can be stored so I can keep it in the living room in front of the tv and then move it when I have guests.

Well, should try to do something other than bitch...

diet, state of me, work, travel
