So far behind...
First catching up on happies:
Even though I posted last Friday and Saturday I forgot to mention the happies.
Friday would be ice wine.
Saturday would be mom home.
Sunday would be a really good sized crowd for visiting minister.
Monday would be managed to make progress on court documents enough that I don't feel a year behind.
Today's is that we hung on and beat Okie State who have become thugs ala the Misery of old. Oh, and despite the refs absolutely sucking the life from the game by calling fouls every five seconds (more on OSU than KU at least).
Still behind on reading fics.
Still behind on watching tv though made some progress. I finally watched the 100 eps from December and OMG cannot believe who was killed! Caught up on the Librarians and Resurrection except for this past Sunday's ep.
As I mentioned, we had a visiting minister on Sunday and I was her Worship Associate. It was an interesting topic and readings. The best, though, was the children's story which was actually chosen by our minister and for which I struggled finding a reader. She finally suggested someone for my like third attempt and he agreed and it was the perfect choice completely lucked into. The story was about a hospital chaplain who played her recorder for patients until she broke it and it just never worked right again until the weather changed and the wood swelled to seal the crack. The person reading the story is a musician--he plays clarinet--and he brought a recorder and couple flutes and played bits on them, PLUS the musical interlude was a flautist and he asked him to play a bit to show the kids the difference in sounds. It was just perfect completely by luck.
Mom's doing better. Not quite as cold as she was on Saturday, and able to get around and get up on her own. Still has no energy but it'll take a while.
It's been very cold the last couple days but will climb into the upper 30s tomorrow, 40s on Thursday and then almost sixty on Friday!
I think I'm getting the hang of efiling but I still hate it, mostly because it's taking the court forever to get things back to us so we can get them to the sheriff for service. I filed a petition last Thursday around 3:00 and it wasn't approved until YESTERDAY MORNING! Of course as soon as I figured I was getting caught up, eight evictions were dropped in my lap. I drafted them yesterday, filed them by mid-morning today and still by 4:30 they hadn't been processed.
I have to make my first trip to the sheriff's department tomorrow. I put it off today because it was so cold. :P
I did get my manicure--I went with a pale blue gray with teal crackle over the top. Looks gorgeous.
Miami is beating Duke at Duke. I love it.
Kentucky is trouncing Misery and Vitale is calling it so there's no reason to watch it. It would be so very hard to root for Missouri anyway. Hate 'em both.
I think I'm not going to catch up on Snowflake Challenge. Mom getting hospitalized just threw me way off. Going to watch the rest of this game, then Agent Carter, and try to read some fics people wrote for me--tomorrow definitely as I'm almost caught up on work. I need to work on my poly big bang, too, as I post on the 25th and I do the sermon that day, too. I have a lot of work to do on the fic, like probably 5000 more words. The art is lovely for it, though. :)
OMG, I just saw the Kentucky score--they're beating Missouri by over 40! Remember when the Tigers had a decent basketball team? This is just really sad.
No it's not. *g*
What's really sad is that the SEC is so weak in bball that Kentucky really has no rivals. Even Florida's not very good this year. Blech.
OMG, 49 point loss. LMAO
