as I wait for KU @ Baylor to start. It's bitterly cold here (high of 10 and yet I saw KIDS walking in hoodies with no mittens or scarves etc! Driving in my car with my heavy coat, heavy gloves, scar, boots on, I was cold all the way home!), I'm slowly getting the hang of e-filing--everything but one document yesterday was rejected, but the resubmissions and everything I filed today went through. Still hate it and I haven't tried a petition yet, but we got an eviction today so I have to do that tomorrow.

Loved Agent Carter.

Got yesterday's fic done. Need to finish today's and then I'm done with writing required fics for a couple weeks. I got an extension for today's because I thought I might be at the hospital. Not for me.

My mom's had a bad cold and uncontrollable cough since Christmas and for the last couple days she's had a lot of pain in her stomach and sides and figured she'd pulled a muscle.

Nope, she tore something. After she nearly passed out twice today and could barely eat anything since two days ago dad made her go to the ER and her blood pressure was 58/30something! They did a catscan and she has internal bleeding. No surgery required, thankfully, but she's in the hospital overnight. Her BPs normal as long as she's reclining and they've taken her off blood thinners (not helping) but it just has to heal on its own.

She's cracked a rib coughing before but never this.

But, then, I had strep of the mouth when I was ten, pleurisy when I was eleven, and tore the ligament connected to my tailbone when I was thirteen by doing high kicks in the living room My dad had early onset glaucoma and his gall bladder out in his 20s, and got lung disease from growing up with chickens. My brother had chicken pox and colitis both at seventeen (along with mono.)

God knows what my nephew will come down with considering the fracked genes!

So, good thoughts are appreciated. I'm hoping to stop by the hospital on my way to work in the morning and hopefully she'll get to go home tomorrow.

We are just weird.

Hopefully tonight's happy will be KU winning it's 24th conference opener in a row. Yep, last time we lost one it was Roy William's third season, we were still the Big 8, and we lost at Oklahoma. It was the 1990-91 season. *g*
