home from the theatre
Wonderful community production of Little Shop. We have such talent in this town. Two of the Greek Chorus are high school students! The guy who played Orin was very Steve Martinish, too..
I'd never seen it live, only the movie, so didn't realize the movie's ending was completely different!
Church was good this morning, too. On truth and "truthiness" (ala Steven Colbert). Jill had one of our youth read a Colbert report on that and he looked and sounded JUST like him! Very talented kid. Usually the youths give very dry readings; his was very theatrical.
I did not mow.

I got up in time, ate early.

I did watch Hawaii 5-0 and Vampire Diaries (as I mentioned) this morning. Now I'm watching the Chiefs on tape. Good start. First team to score a TD on San Fran this season and we held them to a FG.
I forgot to mention yesterday that I caught enough of Game Day to know that Katy Perry would be the guest picker at the end of the show. Apparently her manager went to Miss. St. or something. I wasn't thrilled, don't like her music that much, and prefer people with some football knowledge. I got home from KC in time to see it, though, and she was hilarious! Obviously had done some studying, bantered really well with the guys, got all up in Corso's face. *g* And she picked Miss. St. over Alabama which none of the experts did! I was impressed.
Still don't like her music.
I hit up the grocery for enough food to get me to Thursday so, if the Royals win tonight, I WILL mow tomorrow night after work. If not, Tuesday night. It's going to rain Wednesday.
I need to write.
Today's happy, the theatre. Mom's getting season tickets--they'll deduct this one. Mary Poppins is the next show which I'll see with her, then some dramas and comedies which dad can go with her. Sadly the final show is South Pacific. I'm still traumatized by having to play the nun in our high school production because our choir director was a nasty man.
Dar got to play an Islander and wear a sarong.
