Royals lost and Detroit won last night. *sigh*
Went to choir for the first time in in what seems like forever. We're doing a gorgeous version of In The Bleak Midwinter for our holiday program. I sat with Amy and I'd forgotten that we both have the same birthday, just one year apart. She didn't realize I was that old! I was hot and she was teasing me about hot flashes (she started last year) and the apologized because I was nowhere near old enough. lol
I keep waiting.
Body is okay. Had a few urgent needs to go and looseness when I got home and then overnight but that's sometimes normal for me.
I hope it stays okay as I really need to run errands after work.
Watched the first Survivor last night. Enjoyable as always I suppose. No one really stands out yet.
Started my annual re-read of Good Omens, too. Love that book so much. Getting it for my nephew for Christmas. My brother hasn't read it yet, either.
Looks like I'll actually see brother soon. The university is putting on a two day seminar/lecture series in honor of my dad at the end of October with a dinner and reception, and my brother indicated he'd be attending. I'll go to the dinner and the guest speaker lecture on Friday but I have a doctor's appointment on Saturday morning smack dab in the middle of the seminar (also I care so very little about paper presentations on military and diplomatic history). Might go to the reception at the end of the day as it's KU's bye week, but then Tret Fure is concert at our church that evening and I'd planned to go to that over dinner with the family. I dunno, I'm not sure mom was really happy about the last bit. At least I should be able to drink by then.
I actually had left for work and was a couple blocks away before I remembered I'd forgotten to take my nasty tasting pills (the ones I can't drink booze with) so I was later to work than normal.
I need to call the tree guy as he said September and it's nearly the end of same.
Boss is at court and in meetings off and on all day today so maybe I can get some writing done. Probably should do some work, too.
