so...yesterday

My insurance company denied the claim for the infusions so, unless I win an appeal, I'm out $2300 I don't have. Dad said he'd help but I've borrowed so much money from them this year. It's been a fucking horrible year. I remember when I thought the broken toilet was the end of the world. $200? PBBT, nothing!

So, wasn't happy last night.

On the other hand, trying not to jinx myself, but a couple days before, getting that news would have sent me straight to the bathroom and while I went a couple times at my parents', it was controllable and okay and overnight I only went once, again, okay, and it's better and better.

One hamburger and some green beans?

Or did it just take my body nearly two weeks to fix itself?

Having another hamburger and some broccoli tonight. I really hope this has worked so I can go to choir for the first time in three weeks.

The Royals won easily but sadly Detroit pulled it out and won as well so we're still one game back of them.

Enjoyed SHIELD very much. Heh, from Alpha werewolf to Absorbing Man. I also watched the first two eps of Forever and while it is a cop procedural, it's very interesting. The overlying mystery and the three main characters (plus the squintern) should hold my interest. Though it's kind of Highlander without the swords. Adam. Antiques. Didn't Connor adopt Rachel during WWII? Nice humor in it, too. (also, aconite, heh)

Today, since boss is out drinking with a client and other attorney is out golfing with a client I watched Gotham. If I can continue to suspend my disbelief over the age disparities and the wrongness about Ivy's background, it's a must see. The city itself does play a big role, as does the wealth/poverty stratas, and just the overall grime and darkness--they got Gotham right so far. Interesting connection between Renee and Barbara. Wonder if Jim knows the truth there. And I like the harder Alfred. Fish is perfection. I wonder if the coming war with the mob will bring Bertinelli in. So, that's my happy for today. From a show I wasn't going to watch because of the age issue to a must see.

A bit of humor yesterday at work, well, not so much as humor as a 'why is the city wasting my tax dollars on this crap'? thing.

We got a call from a contractor who needs representation at a hearing. He had a contract with the city put on hold after an inspector came to the project, heard him call a guy what he assumed was a racial slur for a Hispanic (the inspector was Hispanic) got pissed off and without asking any questions, shut them down and set a hearing.

Our client is accused of calling his worker a "beaner".

Except the worker's last name is Beenher.

All the inspector had to do was ask why he called the guy that.

Political correctness can really tick me off sometimes.

In other news, I got an artist for my bizarro Peter/Stiles ABO all human fic. I'm not surprised I was one of the last picked, but I thank my artist grandly for choosing me! Gotta finish the Derek/Stiles BB first, though. Am working on it. Peter's wormed his way into it, of course.

It's kind of cloudy and windy and nippy out. I'm gonna need to dig out my jean jacket for tonight. Luckily it should fit well. Sadly I'm at the hungry all the time stage of the steroids so if my body has righted itself, food will stick and weight will be gained.

Well, gonna spend the last half hour here at work writing.

work silliness, diet, writing, insurance is a racket, tv blather, stupid body
