I was up about three times in the night with accidents--not as bad, but still not good. Though today seems to better. *knock on wood* I dunno. Took another imodium and brought one with me to work ( Read more... )

From tons of experience, having intestinal garbage going on is one of the most debilitating conditions. It always makes me feel as if my marrow has been replaced with water. Icks.

I hope you feel better soon.

I can't remember when I've had it this bad. I can't seem to get it to stop. I was home only about 20 minutes and had another accident and I've gone a couple more times. I'm getting to the point where I'm afraid to eat anything. Not that I'm hungry--just feel washed out. *sigh* At least, if it's not better by Saturday, I'm already going to the doctor.

When I get it bad, I take extra Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar (in water, sweetened with Stevia or some other sweetener, sometimes with some lemon juice added). Then be sure you're getting enough water. I know, that might feel like the very last thing you want to do, but when this is going on, you're really susceptible to dehydration.

I was gonna say, Pedialyte, Oral Rehydration Salts, something...

Yeah, my mom was saying that they'd put kids on a liquid diet. I might have to go that route but I have to have energy to go to work too. *sigh*

I'm not a doctor or nurse or anything, I was just thinking to make sure you're hydrated, along with food.

Yeah, I've been drinking plenty of water. I usually drink at least 80 ounces a day anyway.

Oh, yes! These are also great ideas. :)

I just always have Bragg's, lemon juice, and sweetener. I'd have to go to the store to get anything else. I use variations on the ACV/lemon juice/water drink all the time, so I always have the ingredients. And that's why I always knee-jerk a reaction to recommend it.

I might try that tomorrow if it's still bad. I have some cider vinegar I'm sure. I have been drinking a lot of water, and I ate a couple pieces of toast with a bit of honey. I figure a bit of natural sugar was a good idea.

If your blood sugar can handle honey, use that. And don't use regular, filtered apple cider vinegar. You'll need the unfiltered kind with the "mother." I use Bragg's brand always. Most people, I find, cannot take it straight. I slug down a couple of tablespoons straight and don't flinch. If I'm sick, though, I mix it with water, Stevia, and lemon juice. It tastes a little like a potent sort of lemonade then.

And, as someone else has said, Pedialyte or other sort of replacement liquid is a great idea.
