Fandom Snowflake #11
Well, missed yesterday. *sigh*
Day 11
Stretch yourself a little and try something new. Go play in a new fandom or with a new pairing or trope. Try creating a different kind of fanwork. Or check out some types of fanworks that are new to you.
I thought about writing something in a new fandom, but my muse is kind of blah at the moment. I've pretty much read every pairing and trope in the fandoms I am in. I have zilch talent outside of writing--no one wants to see any art from me, not even icons. I don't podfic or meta or, god forbid, write poetry because that's worse than my art attempts. I'm not sure if there are any "types" of fanworks I haven't seen over the years.
So, basically, I called up the fandoms page for Yuletide 2013, closed my eyes, scrolled and clicked, and read a fic in a fandom I have no clue about.
This is what I got. *g*
A fic in "Mairelon the Magician" which is apparently a book. The fic was well written but I was a bit lost. *g*
Still, if I didn't have about fifty books sitting here unread, I'd check out the original source material.
