Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
This year I've been busy!
Last Thursday I signed my organ donor card (28 points). In October
noir_shadows and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). In March I donated bone marrow to
bradygirl_12 in a life-saving procedure (300 points). Last Sunday I helped
sweet_ali see the light (8 points). In November I committed genocide... Sorry about that,
littlelostcat (-5000 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-4653 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!
Sincerely,
ladyoneill
So, it's still bitterly cold but the sun is out and it's supposed to gt up into the 30s so hopefully some of the remaining layer of snow on the sidewalk will melt. Also, since we had freezing rain first, once they removed the snow at church, it's still very icy--not good for old people tonight unless they get a hella lot of ice melt on it for the sun to take care of. Also there's a 50% chance for more snow this evening, but no one's saying anything about accumulation. Then, by Saturday it's going to be 50 degrees.
The only saving grace with the bitter cold has been no wind.
So, I took down the altar and then went to the grocery where two pounds of buckwheat flour for the buckwheat bacon waffles cost me nearly $9.00. IDEK Had dinner, watched some football, played some angry birds, finally got up around 8:30 and cleaned everything but the kitchen and the laundry room. I discovered I was out of vinegar that I use on the hardwood floors, so that's not getting done. I did wrap the three packages I had, no new ones. Better get here today, damn Amazon Prime.
None of the Yuletide prompts still left when I got to my phone this morning (why are they sent at crack o' dawn?) tempted me which is a good thing since I now have to clean my kitchen along with shoveling the steps and hopefully wrapping two more packages and they're due by 7:00 cst.
I slept really good from 1:00 to 5:00 then hardly at all after that. Yesterday was the same but that was due to the cats being very annoying, especially Raine who kept walking on my hair and getting in my face. I dunno. I'll probably doze off during the service tonight or something.
Hobbit is stupidly on at 11:30 and 3:30 tomorrow. 11:30 is too early. Possible parents could drive back in for the 3:30 but maybe we'll just go another day. It's not like I'm working.
After whining about being on the pinch hit list I not only have two full length fics but a treat as well! I'd hoped to write treats but that hasn't happened. I did write two pinch hits, though.
Hopefully Fandom Stocking will open soon and I can start ficcing for that.
Apparently we're going to the 3:30 showing tomorrow. That's good; as it's a long movie, I'll have a late dinner around 7:00 and start fasting at 8:00 for twelve hours for my blood test.
My Christmas music radio station was playing some annoying rap singer complaining about people wishing each other Happy Holidays over Merry Christmas because Christmas is the only real holiday or something equally annoying, so I turned it off.
I have absolutely no problem wishing people either. Right after that, the McDonalds guy wished me Merry Christmas. We celebrate Christmas Eve tonight and there's always a reading of the nativity. But it's NOT the only winter religious holiday and not everyone celebrates it, and a lot of people who do, like me, don't celebrate it spiritually.
On that note, I shall wish everyone a Happy Holiday of their choice, and get to work.
