and yet another hump day
Unfortunately boss will be here most of the day. *sigh* And I still have little to do.
Dad suggested going in halvsies on a gas snow blower (I don't have an exterior electrical socket and they're not as powerful, even though they're cheaper). I'd use it and then he'd come into town in the truck and pick it up to use on their sidewalks. They finally are on a Mr. Plow's list for their long lane. After dad's truck got stuck last year, I insisted they find someone. Probably buying an HD tv will wait for a while. I need the snow blower; don't need the tv.
Already wrote and posted my fullmoon_ficlet prompt "nervous" about Stiles getting left alone with the baby. Might write another.
Got an appointment for a manicure late tomorrow afternoon.
Some kind of major family drama going on here at work between a client whose son has POA over her and her sister who wants it. I dunno. Glad my family isn't so fucked up.
My house has been in the 60s since the weekend. I've turned on the heat overnight just in case it drops below 65. On the other hand, it's going to be in the 80s outside for the rest of the week. Stupid weather.
I'm looking forward to cold weather because at least my sweaters will fit without gapping on top. To get a top/tshirt to fit, I need a Large on top and a 1X across the stomach. They don't make them like that. I'm still able to wear some 3X skirts with tight elastic waistbands. Forget blouses. I need a 2X to button across the stomach which means the boob area is huge. *sigh* I am literally shrinking inward at the shoulders. Fifteen more pounds off, I'll be the weight I was at my smallest five or six years ago and I have all these clothes that fit then, but I'm not sure they will now. So annoying. Oh, and my toes are skinny.
I enjoyed both SHIELD and SPN last night. Loved the "junk in the drunk".
Will get way behind on tv tonight with choir practice and like six hours of tv recording. I still have Castle and The Originals from earlier this week, too.
Oh, and I'm giving American Horror Story a try again. I loved the first season but then was disappointed to learn they were changing the whole story and characters. I never got into the second season and then it died with the DVR Elektra barfed on. But I love witches.
TV guide has a lovely article on Norman Reedus (see icon) with a sexy picture to die for. Guh. Looking forward to the return of The Walking Dead, too. Am also planning to watch Reign if only to mock it and groan at it a lot.
KU plays this week at 11:00 but the following week at 2:30 which is good since I have a doctor's appointment at 10:30 that Saturday and would have had to record it if it was the 11:00 game. While it's nice that every football game is televised, the 11:00 game isn't premier. Also, makes it hard to do things like shop and have appointments. I need to get my car in for winterizing sometime soon, too.
I'm also taking care of the choir director's cat this weekend--must remember to do that.
