So, came into work early to draft the Order of Service as our church secretary is out tomorrow (it's usually due on Friday). Bit hesitant as I haven't heard back from the speaker confirming her draft from last week but I can only wait about another 15 minutes before sending it in. *sigh* My own fault for dawdling about contacting her.
After badly losing the first game against the Orioles the Royals have won the last two. Last night's was a walk-off in the 9th! We were tied after Hosmer's second homer of the night, man on second, long hit off the wall in center brought him in. :) I think we play them again tonight. We do. Also yesterday was the 30th anniversary of the Pine Tar Game. Great to win on that day, though it would have been poetic if we'd been playing the Yankees. *g*
I did actually get some cleaning done in my room last night before dinner--dusted and tidied and lugged out the trash. I may sweep and vinegar the wood floor tonight which will just leave the bathroom for Saturday. I've managed to keep the main rooms pretty tidy for the last couple weeks, amazingly enough. There are just stacks of comic books but they're orderly.
We're going to see Red 2 after church. Loved the first one and this one is supposed to be just as good.
My stomach is ooky. I didn't eat breakfast--had popcorn last night and am still full--but I took my 'take with food' pills. I think, for once, I actually need to do that. When we went out for dinner last week I took my Metformin before I left and didn't eat for about an hour and my stomach was a tad off. I've never had that problem before but that pill can make you queasy (and did for like the first three or so months I took it).
It's not stopping me from my coffee--on my second cup.
It's wonderfully cool out--just 70 degrees--and much less humid than yesterday. I don't mind dry heat at all, in fact I love to drive in it with the windows down, but had to use the AC yesterday afternoon due to the humidity.
I left my watch at home. I will now go slowly insane all day...
My DVR is still working fine. Really, the only thing I can think of is the large chunks of recording at one time it was doing. Stupid technology. Though I'm not as worried about trying to clear off shows in case I have to take it back because I'm not expecting to have to do that.
Still enjoying Under the Dome. I need to watch the final Defiance and the last two Pretty Little Liars and then I'm caught up except for Copper and some three part zombie show from BBC that I have on the DVR. No one seems to load Copper but my parents have it because they haven't even watched all of last year's yet, but I know the zombie show is up. So, if the DVR has to go back next week, I won't miss anything except for having all of this season's TW on it.
May watch the last two TW eps again after the game tonight. Fanfic seems to be making the supposition that Peter is the Daroch but I REALLY don't like that. I hope it's a red herring like it's obviously not Gerard or Jennifer. I can't believe I'll miss an episode. This no internet while on vacay thing unless you want to pay out the nose is ridiculous. It's like 1998 or something. Next summer, if Teen Wolf is renewed and runs on the same schedule, we'll be in London when it starts. With free wifi in our flat. I always manage to keep up on shows when I'm in England. *sigh*
I'm also concerned about being cut off from work except for phone calls (which will be expensive, too, but on the same level as calls in England). Boss is already nervous about it which means I have to spend most of next Tuesday training is son, which means I need to type up long lists of explanations of how to do shit. *sigh* Hopefully Tmobile exists in Alaska and I can check email off the ship on my phone.
I feel stressed already about not being ready for this trip. ARGH
At least the house will be cleanish.
I have a big pile of work to do since I spent most of yesterday doing the invoices.
