and another lazy weekend

Feb 19, 2013 12:10

that went by too fast.

The snow was pretty much gone by Saturday afternoon--gone from the sidewalks/pavement by morning. Pointless.

Now we're waiting for the possible snow/icepocalypse starting tomorrow night. Just in case it's actually bad and still bad Friday, I'm getting meds tomorrow that will run out this weekend rather than risk getting them Friday.

Gas prices have gone up seventy cents at least since January 1. This is ridiculous. I do have a nearly full tank thanks to my forty cents off a gallon grocery card.

So, basically did nothing all weekend. Certainly didn't write anything. *sigh* I did code all the fics over a thousand words I've written since 2010 or so. Just need to get them up on the website. I have about a hundred ficlets I'll worry about later. I also watched a lot of tv--caught up on The Following and started on Lost Girl.

Apparently my mom didn't figure out the big non-secret on Once Upon A Time. I thought it was blatantly obvious from the first time he was introduced.

Castle was really, really good--Nathan's getting to stretch his emotional acting skills. I wanna have Daryl shoot the Governor in his other eye on Walking Dead. TAR had a good start. Really hate the newlyweds--no wonder they have no friends. I think I'm rooting for the roller derby moms.

KU stomped all over Texas which was very nice. We play at Oklahoma State on Wednesday night. Iffy. Hopefully we'll do to them what they did to us two weeks ago. Whether I'm home to watch it live or recording it (either way I have to delete Criminal Minds or SPN from the dvr since the game is on ESPN2 which I only get on the main tv, guess which one I'm deleting) is up to the snow/ice/wintery mix crap. I hope we have choir practice because we're singing something this Sunday I haven't practiced at all. But, our church is out in the country and if the roads are bad...

Mom and I went to see Beautiful Creatures yesterday. We both very much enjoyed it. Emma Thompson was incredible as always. I'm going to get the book, now. I believe there are four? The movie was open ended to a certain extent but I'm okay if there are no sequels, unlike that Golden Compass movie which left everything hanging and then any sequels were squashed. That really irritated me. I never would have watched it if I'd known that.

Working at parents' tonight. Will watch Indiana/Michigan State game to see if number one falls. I don't expect to have to drive home in snow at least.

Well, should go make lunch...

lazy weekend, stupid weather, basketball, tv blather
