bump in the road
So....I'm still in Kansas.
Mom called me at 7:00 this morning to tell me my flight to London was canceled and, unless I wanted to fly in a middle seat in economy late tonight, I had to wait until tomorrow to get an upgrade. Same flight to London as would have been today's. Who knows why they canceled it. Stupid airlines. I get to fly in the upper deck of a 747, though--never done that before!
Thank the gods my brother was a United super duper platinum god and was able to get me on tomorrow's flight. I don't have first class to Chicago but that's not a big deal. I don't fly first class in the States very much, but overseas anything is better than economy especially when you're overweight and get leg cramps.
I had to scramble for a ride to the airport since mom was taking me this morning and catching her flight to Chicago to meet my brother and head to New York. I got a ride but I have to leave about two hours earlier than necessary. I'm not complaining! I really didn't want to drive myself and leave my car in long term parking--I've never done that and I hate doing things I've never done, plus new car!
So, basically it's been a lazy day. I ran into work to print my new itinerary. I really need to hook up a printer. I went to Target for a new card for the camera since mine is nearly full and I need to take pics of probably 300 or so documents. Ended up getting a couple of cute scarves, too. I watched some old Vampire Diaries, read some fic, napped, took out trash, swept the floors blah blah.
Hey, but I get to watch SPN live! My plan was to say "hi dad, where's my room, what's the wifi code, and download first thing tomorrow. *g*
