Wednesday, June 3rd, was Colin's 26th birthday, and being the good sister that I am, I took him out to dinner at The Outback and even bought him ice cream at Dairy Queen afterwards. Nobody else was around to celebrate with him, so I'm glad I was able to add a bit of excitement and tasty food to his (and my) day.
I saw "Angels & Demons" last night with Kaite at a theater near her place. I read The Davinci Code and liked it well enough because it kept you interested, even though the writing was horrid and Dan Brown is a bit of a thief and a liar as far as content goes, but I never read this other book which Kaite emphatically states is one of the best books she has ever read. Apparently the movie was quite a bit different, as is typically the case, but I wouldn't know, and what I saw was entertaining enough to keep me from passing out (I was sooooo ridiculoulsy tired last night). Tom Hanks's character was still a little annoying, and some of the dialogue was just SO lame, but eh. I had fun, and the theater ticket was cheaper than what I usually pay, so I'd say it was worth it.
On my way to Kaite's, someone rear-ended me when I got off the highway. I was at a yield sign waiting for a change to pull out onto the main road, and maybe 2 seconds after I started moving, I felt a hard BUMP shake my car and just about had a heart attack because I was scared I hadn't seen someone coming up the road. What had actually happened was someone else was coming off the highway behind me and wasn't paying attention to my car. I pulled over and the other person did as well. It was a younger girl who apologized profusely and said she had been too busy watching oncoming traffick to realize I was in front of her. I said that I didn't see any damage, so let's just move on with our lives. I could see myself doing a similar stupid thing, so I wasn't really mad. The car looks fine, although this morning I saw that there might be a chip in the paint, but I'd rather not get insurance companies involved over a centimeter of missing white on my car's butt.
I also went out to dinner at Uno's last night. I had been kind of boycotting that restaurant ever since they removed my favoritest menu item, the 4 cheese deep dish pizza, because cheese prices had gotten too high. Guess what? IT'S BACK! I was so excited and hungry that I ate all 1920 calories of the individual size. Crap, now that I'm thinking about it again, I'm getting hungry...
