Yesterday I have taught a workshop on dreams and tarot in Amsterdam (in a centre called de Roos) for the Society for the Study of Dreams. I liked working with them very much. Yesterday I celebrated Midsummer, accompanied by Lauren who read the magazine Cosmogirl. It resulted in me answering questions about tank tops, and hearing remarks about celebrities during the celebration, all the when did my reading and the other things. It was funny and it made me realize again how she is growing from girl to teenager.

I am currently working on the next course of seven cards/letters/stanza’s from Psalm 119. The cards are from Strength to Temperance. The fifth day in the Twelve Days of Christmas is called “Bringing in the Boar”, after an old English tradition. Probably in earlier days a boar was slaughtered in this time of year for meat, but also as an offering for a happy new year.

It is Rosh Chodesh, the Jewish Festival of the New Moon. A month ago I pulled a card for what I could renew in that coming month. I pulled Strength from the Tarot of Jane Austen. Yesterday, November 11th it was Rosh Chodesh. Ah well when I will have post this, it will probably be the day before yesterday; it is almost twelve o’clock. Rosh Chodesh is a Jewish holiday in which the new moon is celebrated when it appears as little silver line in the sky.
