I have been to Amsterdam today for a new course about psalm 119. I am curious how the different spiritual roads will evolve, what will happen in the weeks to come. Much to think about!

Today I end my project for Lent. Everyday I’ve read a passage from John during this period and picked a card alongside the text.

It’s Easter. Yesterday we baked matzos and this morning we searched for eggs in the garden. My daughter is ten now, and each year the eggs are more cleverly hidden. This year we found an egg hanging in a tree in a little net for bird food.

In the passage I have read today, John 12:37-50, John quotes the prophet Isaiah. John tells that although Jesus had done many miracles, many people did not believe who Jesus was, despite the miracles he did: the son of God. By not believing in him, says John, is a prophecy of Isaiah be fulfilled. Isaiah had said:
