Today I have pulled a third card inspired by a prayer of St. Francis of Assisi.
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.
Francis of Assisi
My question is based on the sentence: “Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. (…) Where there is doubt let me sow faith”. My question is: “How can I sow faith where there is doubt?”
The card that I have pulled is Three of Pentacles from the Tarot of Prague. This version of the Three of Pentacles emphasizes craftsmanship by teamwork. Mozart is depicted before the opera house in which his operas were performed. To get an opera on stage many craftsmen are involved, from technicians to musicians, stage hands and managers.
Teamwork involves communication and discipline. Emotions can run high in teamwork because everyone is affected if someone is not doing his job or if goals and standards are not shared by everybody. This card tells me in my situation, to have trust in teamwork.
