Update on the allergies stuff. Aside from what looked like a bug-bite on the pad between thumb and forefinger of my left hand, I've had no swellings since I stopped taking the cinnamomum verum capsules. I have no idea if taking ten days off was enough to give me a sensitivity to it or not. I may try it again in a little while to ascertain if

It's going. The latest royalty statement was about $23 shy of allowing me to buy what I wanted--I promised myself if it was over X amount, I'd get a Litter Robot. (I love my cat, I hate the litterbox ritual.) So that's the only thing on my Christmas list for this year--they're expensive buggers, but they pay themselves off within acouple years based on litter saved alone.

Swinging the trip to the UK for London WorldCon is going to be expensive (Mum's going to be covering a lot of it, bless her, but still expensive). And I need to write up a synopsis proposal for a 3 book series (my least favorite part of this job) so I can snag another contract before the end of the year.

...Getting roommates has helped the finances a lot, but I know where the blame lies for the fact I'm just managing to get by: Upon Myself, for buying a nice house at the upper edge of what I could afford. If I'd bought that house in Anderson (a difference of $50k instead of $230k...for almost the same amount of house, actually), I'd have had it paid off by now--but I'd be in Anderson, Indiana, not Everett, Washington, and I love it here. (I even have a view of the mountains, if you look out the right window!)

Beyond that, I got tapped to be the Special Guest at Chattacon, January 24th-26th in Chattanooga, TN this coming winter, so I'm really looking forward to that. :-)

If you go to a con to sell your books. I think you can write that off. =) My two large manx boy cats need a litter crane. The robot would fail under the load.
