Thanksgiving Break

I really should have kept up with my journal while I was actually on break, but I didn't feel like it due to incredible laziness. So, here it is now.

For once, my Thanksgiving break was quite uneventful. Seriously, nothing happened. Usually, I do something... you know, like maybe take a trip to the movies. But this year, the most I did was went shopping with my mom one day. For the majority of break, I was sick with a sinus infection, so I was rather miserable. It started out in my sinuses, and it moved into my throat. Yeah... it really wasn't fun. I spent most of my break downloading music, playing KotOR 2, and writing some stories. We have Limewire now, and it's amazing... seriously, I can download 20 songs in the time it used to take me to download 2 or 3 on Winmx. I love it! I made quite a few CDs, including a new Star Wars disk, an unofficial "Lost" soundtrack, and Ed downloaded all of Nickelback's new songs from their latest CD "All the Right Reasons" so I made myself a copy and listened to it A LOT. I really like it... especially the songs "Savin' Me" and "Far Away". I like how it's not really crude, either... unlike some of their older albums.

Thanksgiving itself was at home this year, and we ate really early in the day. We had a really nice time and my sinuses were good enough that I could actuall eat. During break, Eddie rented 2 new video games... King Kong and Shadow of the Colossus, and he bought Soul Calibur 3. I didn't see King Kong much, because I didn't want the movie to be spoiled for me. But I watched Eddie "Shadow" a lot. The game is utterly fascinating. You're basically this little warrior dude, and he has to travel through this forbidden land to kill all of the Colossi in the area in order to resurrect his dead girlfriend. He also has this horse named Agro, and it looks like a real horse! It's fascinating... the graphics are amazing. It looks incredibly life-like. When Ed finally got near the end of the game it was so sad... because the horse makes his way over a bridge while the warrior is riding him, and the bridge collapses and the horse falls down the chasm! It was so sad... I almost started to cry. But then it comes back at the end. yay! Also regarding video games, Eddie made a perfect Obi-Wan character in Soul Calibur, so I played it for awhile with him... and at one point, I kept making him kneel really fast it it looked SO wrong, like he was humping something. I laughed so hard that I cried...

A couple new episodes of my favorite shows were on. In Lost, it was the episode "what kate did" and we finally found out what she did to land her parents in jail. Turns out, she burned her mom's house down and killed her step-father. Yep, that'll land you in jail... And in CSI, it was about a man who had an obsessive eating disorder, and he basically ate until he died. Gross.

I also watched a lot of movies, including Star Wars: Episode 2, Shrek 2, and My Best Friends Wedding. Other than that, the only time in which I actually got out of the house was on Sunday (today). Mom and I did some shopping at a few different stores. We went to K-mart, and they actually had Lord of the Rings bobble heads that are a few years old and impossible to find any more. They're actually worth quite a bit of money... and they were only 5 dollars! So, I bought a couple of them (Aragorn and Boromir). So, that's pretty much the gist of my break...
