Monday, 24th - Not much today, except for the fact that I played KotOR 2 for a couple of hours when I got home. I figured that it would be the only day in which I'd have a lot of time to myself, so I took advantage of it.
Tuesday, 25th - When I got home, I received a very unexpected surprise because the cds that i ordered came! Yay! I really needed some new music... so now I have Sugarland, Gary Allan, Blake Shelton, and Sarah Evans. Woot! I started listening to Sugarland and it's really great so far. Also, I had my hair appointment with Tammy today to get it cut. I was a little nervous at first, because I haven't had anything done to my hair in a year... (I know, that's bad) but I trust Tammy. Mom and I drove to her house, but on our way there my mom realized that she had forgotten where she lives. We searched around for quite a long time, and we were both getting really frustrated... I was mad because mom was wasting time, and for the fact that she hadn't bothered to ask for directions. And my mom was mad for the same reasons. So, we headed back home and called Tammy, and she gave us directions. By the time we got there, mom and I weren't mad at each other any more... so that was good. When we got there, Tammy decided that the best thing for my hair length would be to trim a couple of inches off, and to give it subtle layers. Like I said, I trust her... so I let her do whatever she thought was best. She washed my hair (which is odd... because I've never actually gotten a *real* hair cut before) and then she cut it. Then, she blow-dryed it and styled it. The finished result was gorgeous... she made my hair *really* curly and volumous! More curly than I ever thought I could get it. She even taught me how to get the same style every day if I wanted to. It's amazing what I can do with my hair now that I actually know how to do it, and the right products to use. She also said that she'd buy me some professional hair products from the Salon, and then I can pay her back. She's such a sweetie! Naturally, I thanked her profusely. I'm so incredibly happy with my hair! And the best thing about it is the fact that it feels thicker and healthier than it has in ages. Yay!
After Tammy's, mom and I did a bit of shopping at Marcs and Great Freight, and then we headed back home. I had a bit of time before All City. I felt really confident in myself at All City... mainly because I knew my hair looked great for once, and a lot of people liked it. Rehearsal was normal... except for when we went on break, because two girls (can't remember both of their names... but I know one is Katie) were "glomping" each other. AKA: very aggressive hugging. It was hyterical! They actually knocked each other over in the process... haha. Silly under-classmen! :P
After All City, mom picked me up as usual. While she was shopping, she had bought black flat shoes for me for my choir concert on Thursday. They're really cute... but they're a size too big, so they sorta slip off when I wear them. Ah, well. They were originally 50 dollars, but they were marked down to a buck. How ridiculous! I'm just glad that I finally have shoes for the concert. WHen I got home, I played some more KotOR 2 and I finally got to Citadel Station on Telos. Woot!
Wednesday, 26th - My hair still looked awesome from yesterday when I woke up in the morning, and it was still really curly. I freshened it up a bit for school, and everybody loved it. I got tons of compliments all day. I felt so special! Hehe... I think Sarah liked it the most, but that's not surprising. In the evening, mom and I went to a ton of stores in search of a Halloween costume... but we didn't find anything. Heck, we couldn't even find any dang materials to *make* a costume. Grrr....
Thursday, 27th- After school today, we had our second yearbook meeting in which we were assigned pages. I get to work on the choir page, and I was elated, because that's the page that I *really* wanted. I also get to do the Top 25 page, so I'm pretty pleased. Also, in the evening was out first big choir concert of the year... our fall concert. I was kinda nervous, because it's been awhile since I've been on a stage, but I was okay once we acually got on the stage. We were the last choir to perform, so we had to sit through Girls Choir, Mixed Choir, and Chamber Ensemble. Ugh! I literally started to fall asleep... it was incredibly boring, and the majority of the music sucked. Finally, it was out turn to sing... and I think we were great. The songs that we sang were J'entends le Moulin, Music Spread Thy Voice Around, Goin' Home to Live with God, and The Road Not Taken. We messed up a bit on J'entends le moulin, but then again it *is* a class AA song, and it's difficult. I think it was overall very well done for the time in which we spent on it. It certainly wasn't the most exciting concert in the world, but at least I don't have to worry about it any longer... or at least until the next concert :)
