(no subject)
I mentioned the highlight of Nadetta's weekend, but the event did have other pretty cool moments. I could have been right in the thick of the drama on Saturday night, but kind of like having watched it as an outsider. Playing Imari meant I saw the events unfold from a totally different point of view. I also could detach myself from the situation unlike I would have if I was playing Nadetta.
This was the first event since I got pregnant that I played Imari with a weapon. She didn't use it much though. I only got to play her on Saturday night, but that was enough. I almost didn't play her at all. For the last year Imari has been my favorite character to play. This weekend though, it was a difficult choice on who to play.
So, back to real life for me. Alex had a great weekend with his grandparents. Mom was silly on Friday night. He was sleeping in the living room and they were using the baby monitor. Mom keeps hearing Alex make little noises and finally decides to go downstairs and check on him. He was just laying there looking around, but he was fine. Mom settles down on the couch to sleep near him. Later she wakes up worried because he's no longer making any noise. He fell asleep. I've gotten over doing all that weeks ago. It's funny to hear she did the same thing.
Alex came home with lots of new clothes, including a couple of new Yankees outfits. According to my folks, the only day the Yankees won was the day they dressed Alex in one of the outfits.
I'm crossing fingers and praying that my team gets their act together and starts winning games.
OK, enough randomness for now. I've got lots of work to do and no motivation. Yesterday was worse with how tired I was and yet wired from the event.
