The wages of incompetence

Yesterday I had to go early into town to do a few things, one of which was emergency shoe-shopping. I find shoes boring, and shoe-shopping even worse, so I tend to have a single pair of everyday, everything shoes. My bank suggested I move money from my savings accounts into investments. I didn't get around to it. This was just before the '08 crash. From which I conclude that not getting around to doing things may be the wisest strategy.

Skordh was very taken with the story about the man who intended to bet the fairly reasonable bet that Man U would beat MK Dons in a certain match by 4 goals to nil, but filled the form in wrongly, so that when MK Dons actually won 4-0 he won really quite a lot of money. As he said, it is very nice to hear a story about incompetence being rewarded. Thank you for providing a corroborating example :-)
