Were you aware that Bush, at one point, had the highest approval ratings of any President Ever? The highest. Why? Because we were in a time of crisis and he brought us hope.
The analogy and point remains..we looked to him and he gave us hope. It's the same kind of situation...we look to Obama for hope and yet...people do worship him. It's frightening how much so. Calling him the greatest thing ever is a huge misstep. We cannot make that determination until he's left office.
What I don't want to see is nation being disappointed. Hence my reservation and, as I've already said...making fun of the disabled is not a way to win my affection.
And badmouthing one to explain why the other is great is foolish. Too often when I've asked people about Obama I've gotten nothing BUT badmouthing Bush. Then people point to his ratings. So...
pointing out that Bush at one time had the HIGHEST of ALL time ratings IS fair, since the only thing people can say good about Obama is that Bush was bad.
So you aren't going to convince me that Obama is the Shit. Not yet. Badmouthing Bush and getting angry with me about my lack of opinion on Obama, yet, (well at least overall opinion) isn't going to change my resolve in the belief that people are overly zealous about the man.
I still maintain there was this fervor about him BEFORE he even stepped into office. Do I think it's unnatural? Very much so. It's very naive of the American people and answering with..
"Bush was evil" and calling him a thief is just silly. It doesn't excuse american's for blind worship of a man who was just good at his propaganda and a celebrity president. He didn't even have the balls to apologise personally for going on leno and making those statments.
He had a publicist do it.
as for his "plans" yeah, i've read his plans on what to do for the Disabled. YOu know what? There isn't a fresh, new or original idea in there. He copied it from the same agenda's that have been out there for years and years.
Fresh new? Ideas? No..taking action.? Sure, but they are someone elses ideas and only time will tell if he's as wonderful as people claim him. I just hope people STOP, get the stars out of their eyes and pay attention. The man doesn't warrant or deserve the idol worship.
