Review: This Means War
So, I got to go to an advanced screening of this movie on Wednesday night and I howled with laughter throughout the movie.
Granted, it's basically a chick flick, but it's a chick flick with action, with spies, bad guys and some hilarious puns.
Chris Pine aka Capt. Jim Kirk 2.0 is a CIA agent whose cover story job is a cruise ship captain. I was snickering hard at that. I figure the writers had some fun doing the minor Trek puns.
Opening scene of the movie, he's chatting up two women, saying he's a cruise ship captain, and that his friend is a travel agent. So, one of the women all but purrs, "Permission to come aboard, Captain?" I was laughing so hard, being one of the few in the audience who got the in-joke.
Even the Evil One liked it - he was cackling with glee during scenes and we both gave it a thumbs up for being a fun movie. :)
The movie is a hoot - go see it and laugh yourself silly.
