[Cosplay] Celestia Ludgenberg Progress Update
Welp, remember when I mentioned I wanted to do Celestia from DanganRonpa. Well, I started working on it yesterday. :) And I finished 1 piece of it. So happeh with the results.

Anyway, you know the awesome skirt she wears? Well, that's what I made:
...and I think I did a pretty awesome job on it...! I used a cheap $0.97 pattern to get myself started but it had this weird design to it (the original skirt) so I cut like 3 inches from the bottom, straightened it, cut off about 2 inches to allow the lace to seperate at the bottom.
...The "scalloped" piece as I've been calling it was just the skirt pattern used again, cut even shorter and curved in the front after cutting it in half.... the lace on the scallop wasn't hard at all; the bottom was the nightmare.
And I thought the lace was hard to sew... when I was getting ready to put the elsastic in the waistband this morning, I never expected it to take me 45 minutes. I was so frustrated from putting that stuff in... Didn't help that over using my (currently fingernail-less finger) caused my finger to hurt by forcing the elastic through.
All worth it, though. I love it.
Now I've gotta make the over-shirt, which, I know, will end with me fighting sleeves. (I really hate sewing sleeves... :/
Anyway, I'm going to give my self a small break from sewing (as my finger does hurt atm)... I may sew some of the shirt tonight...idk...I know I'm missing one small bit of the shirt's trim that I need to buy ...and I need a small bit of white fabric to make the headband.
