a lovely Easter Eve

So, I'm all set for a lovely, long Easter/spring break. I'm catching up on grading, with a bit of intermittent screwing off and video gaming for variety. I'm also doing a bit of paid editing work for a girl from Taiwan. This morning SG spent some time playing his video game, then we took a nap, then I went to the grocery store. Zooma and I had a lovely little ride. When I got back I made grilled ham and cheese sandwiches on sour dough bread. I put SG's second sandwich in the skillet, then had him watch it while I went to the bathroom. When I came back he was naked in the kitchen, singing "Perfect golden sandwich" to the tune of "Seven Spanish Angles." Mind you, he was naked to begin with; he didn't take his clothes off just to serenade a grilled sandwich, although I wouldn't put it past him. I seriously should put a privacy film on that window.

In a little bit he's taking the Veal to a belated hatching day, and I plan to eat as much of the left over home made chocolate toffee ice cream as I can stomach. Hey, I need the room in the freezer.

TJ ended up spending almost a week with us before moving onto a job in Texas. I need to call him in a bit, as his hatching day was same as the Veal, on April 5. In the mean time, Michael returned home from the Middle East on Monday. I think the little idiot may have finally learned his lesson. It only took three tours of duty, two of them over seas. The Stupid is strong in that one though, so we'll see.
