Batman and Two-Face #24 - I was promised Carrie Kelley, and in fact there was no Carrie Kelley in this entire comic. She was on the
solicit cover but in reality the comic I bought had Harvey Bullock standing next to Batman instead. I am disappoint. The Irish mob boss lady was kind of interesting, but I was disappointed that they killed off Gilda like that and again, I am really here for Carrie Kelley. I keep telling myself that I should stop letting DC bait-and-switch me like this, but Carrie is the darling Robin of my heart and thus it keeps happening.
Batwoman #24 - This seemed like it ended really abruptly? Also I am confused because people were saying that it's the last issue for the Williams/Blackman team and I thought they were sticking around till December. Anyway, it was cool, awesome ladies being awesome as usual. Bruce is a jerk but that's old news. There were a lot of villains running around and I wasn't sure if it was because of Forever Evil or if the DEO let them out, or both. It was cool to see Poison Ivy, though, and other Batpeople made cameos to fight all the villains. Including Nightwing, which made me happy because I will forever take any instance of Dick and Kate being on the same page as evidence that they are buddies.
Hawkeye #13: - I am starting to get a little confused with this whole non-linear timeline thing, and also I am confused because WHEN IS THE KATE + PIZZA DOG ISSUE COMING OUT? I thought it was next week but apparently not. But anyway I liked the parts with Kate, and how when all the other Avengers were beat up and digging themselves out of the rubble Jess was just hanging upside-down like nothing was wrong, and Pizza Dog licking Clint instead of biting him, and "Dunno. Looks like the dog left, t'me." Also the art is so great, Kate's nail polish even looks like it gets a shiny stripe in it like real nail polish does in the light.
FF #13 - GUYS I LOVE THIS COMIC SO MUCH. Scott shrinking everyone so he can catch Alex in a pill bottle, and Jen freaking out that they were shrunk down and standing on the Impossible Man's shorts, and tying up the Watchers with clothesline, and all the kids running around, and the machine that will only make bananas, and the three-step explanation that gets pasted over Scott's technobabble monologue. Ahhh seriously all of it was amazing, it's so sad it's getting canceled.
Pretty Deadly #1 - I had to go to two different stores to find a copy, I am impressed it's selling out so fast! Anyway I was disappointed there was not more Deathface Ginny, but I liked Sissy and the song about Death's Daughter, and the pinup at the end was so gorgeous.
