I DON'T KNOW. I THOUGHT THEY COULD NEVER BE SCARY. I THOUGHT THEY HAD BEEN UNSCARY FOR FIFTY YEARS AND WOULD NEVER SCARE ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF FIVE. I THINK PARTIALLY I WAS JUST SUPER ANXIOUS BECAUSE OF THE PONDS BUT WHATEVER.

*flails* I am especially seconding re: the Ponds and never doing that again. I could barely stand it for one episode, I would die if it lasted MULTIPLE episodes. Please be happy and communicate more, Ponds.

And not going to lie, this is one of the few episodes with the Daleks that I thought the Daleks were actually interesting.

RIGHT? I had a brief moment of wishing the plotline had been slightly more developed and then I thought, "OH GOODNESS NO, MY HEART WOULD BREAK IF THIS LASTED ANY LONGER."

I know! Before I was trying to be optimistic about the new companion. Now I am super excited to see her again! It will be SO SAD when the Ponds leave, but at least we know we're getting a good one. :)

She did have a lot of neat parallels! Like how she said she wanted to see the universe, and then this morning I realized Alaska has even the same number of letters as TARDIS. I don't have any theories, unless she's like a descendant, since there are so many shooting pics of Clara in period costume.
