Lol, another Ghost fan!!!! I love that so many people like this band when was so underground less than a year ago!
Yeah, I've seen them in three different clubs in the Twin Cities and my husband did photos for them all three times. He actually found out Papa's real name off of a piece of equipment one night and emailed him saying he would never release it to the public. They contacted him and were all super grateful because they have that cryptic side to uphold.
Yeah, my husband is like a little girl about this band - SUCH a geek, lol. :) I didn't start to like them until that last creepy new video came out for the new album.
Edit: I just looked at Rock on the Range - he has shot nearly everyone on the list. And we know half the bands! Hell, I just talked to Sevendust again the other day and we've know Middle Class Rut, Halestorm, Young Guns, Korn, Buckcherry, and lots of other ones just based on their management. Oh, and if you've never heard them before, make sure to watch Steel Panther. They can be kind of a pain in the ass live when you're female, but still they're hilarious. If you want to see all the Ghost photos and photos of all the mentioned above ones, go here: http://rkh-images.com. :)
lol, we actually saw Steel Panther last weekend at the M3 festival. They are frickin hilarious! Very excited to be seeing them again! It's a little surreal since we first saw their lead singer performing with LA Guns back while we were in college so we were excited when Steel Panther got started and gained some popularity, but it took us this long to finally see them live.
My husband is the one most excited for ghost. I only kind of know them but will be excited for the stage show! Yeah, I think we only found out about a year ago. They were in Metal Hammer or one of those imported magazines. So I guess they started some promotion around that time which is why they are getting more known? Good job at your husband letting Ghost know they had a security breach on their equipment they needed hide!
I hate that Ghost's set time is paired against Middle Class Rut because they have a couple songs I would love to have seen live. (busy bein born and new low). Oh well, the fun thing about Rock on the Range is getting to meet bands rather than their short performances. So there is a lot of bands we will want to see and end up missing their sets. Its okay since there is only a few bands on the main two stages we havent seen. Young Guns is another one. Bones is such a haunting song. So were they pretty cool?
Yeah, I have always thought it was ridiculously cool that you know so many bands and your husband does professional photography for shows. That was always a dream job of mine. I check out his photo site from time to time since you have linked it before. *hugs*
Young Guns are good guys. Plus they have hot accents, lol. :) When I saw them, they were with Steel Panther at a contest for a radio station we work with, so my husband did all the photos and met them. Then one of the DJs who was working it and was hammered licked Gustav Wood's face and totally freaked him out, lol.
We heard about Ghost from the band Impaler (the drummer works for my husband so we are all really close) back when the first album came out. It was all we were listening to when I was in Europe.
