Pittsburgh: The Galapagos Islands of American Dialect
My mother sent me a link to www.iheartpgh.com the other day, and there is a fabulous article about the dialects of American English...its a neat read!
So, today was day 11 in a row of working. I actually hit over time today. And I was told by my manager that I am one of two people allowed to go into over time...at least he seems to be valuing me now. Im being very productive with the wedding stuff...Amanda's cake topper and her tiara are done. I tried to deposit some checks for fabric for Leah's wedding, and I couldnt freaking remember the pin to our joint account to do a mac deposit after hours! So, tomorrow, Ill do that and I will order tulle and duchess satin for the flower girl. when i get that stuff, i'll be able to get started on the flower girl dress (gotta get the pattern), basket, and ring bearer pillow. I need to get roses and rose petals as well. I think I will start on Leah's veil first though...that I am really excited about!
