GRRRRRRRRRR!

My mother and aunt dropped of a rug my mom was getting rid of. I had been trying to bribe my siblings with dinner to come drop it off for me because I didn't want to go over to my mothers and be accosted with "Do you want this too?" I just wanted the rug.

My aunt was supposed to stop by today and pick up a tablecloth she had bought for me that was bigger then I needed, but she accidently left in Jims car when we dropped her at home from the movie. That was it, but no!

My mom and aunt both arrive with armfuls of stuff and a rug in the car. Now I'm really gratefull to have the rug over here, and all but their visit was so agrivating. Like one of the very first things they say is that I have to get the cats declawed because they scratched up the one couch. This is the couch my brother destroyed (and to be honest I didn't realize the conidtion it was in or I might not have accepted it in the first place). Yes the cats did scratch at it when there were little but its been ages since its been an issue.

I thank them for the rug and explain I'll put it out later when Jim gets home. But no they want to help put it down right now! My mother starts dragging my recliner across the wood floor. I tell her you cann't do that, its going to leave marks. She doesn't act like any of the things I care about matter. If I did that to her house I'd never hear the end about how I don't know how to take care of stuff. Then she insists on sweeping up my floors. Vacumming the new rug, while my aunt wipes down the coffee table.

I really do appriciate the idea that they want to help, but I just don't like the under tone that my house is never good enough. My moms parting words were "Well I can see you still have alot to do!" GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Why cann't they appriciate that I'm happy with the way my house is? They did however complement the new storm door, so that was nice atleast.
