[offers salt to threaten laptop with] They seem to like cold and dry...haven't e-mailed you 'cos your inbox is probably at Scary levels by now, but...[crazy waving]
Yay, it's a Sessy! ;D How's Things? And the Things Wot You Are Digging Up Lately, whatever they may be?
That puts me in mind of bad news, by the way - the meagre four feathers I found through April-May (one WAS a rosella! it was small but had blue on! >:/) were mistaken for Disease-Ridden Bionuclear Hazards and thrown out three weeks ago, so I've started again ... currently considering leaping out and scaring birds while they're taking a bath so they leave their clothes behind.
It's weird ... I -used- to find feathers all the time, especially in autumn. *notes that Australian birds are very secretive about moulting, or some sort of not-very-picky dry Aussie scavenger likes dead birds, or Dog Swamp is just not a popular place for cool birds*
I hadn't actually realised how bizarrely fun it is to go around fossicking for feathers, you know ;) (and somehow accumulating small, curious children to help)
Dammit, I thought you'd be gone and went away and now you probably are... [shrubs, not having the energy to pine properly] Eh...back living with my parents right now, not sure what to do with my life...dug up stuffs are good, found a WWI ANZAC training trench complete with drain and sandbagging shelf and after that helped restore a load of 18th-c underground kitsch..not sure what I'll do over summer, either.
Hélas...mind you don't capture the Aussie equivalent of a swan maiden there, that would be awkward... Fevvers are fun. ^_^
Ahhh, know how that feels - I'm still back with my Mum at the moment and fairly stumped for a profession too. My current temporary job is full of interesting people but the work itself is essentially receptionism (now A Word if it wasn't before) which was not what I saw for myself after seven years of uni *thanksforthatuniversityoftassie* and will have to be remedied for ... er ... something >_>
Kikkoman probably needs a sidekick. I shall apply. You can be soy sauce getaway driver if you like, since I already bagsied sidekick. But I'd stick to digging up cool stuff if I were you (ANZAC training trenches? coo! did they ever train them in the UK? or was it in France??). Are there no nifty archaeology jobs around your way at the moment?
Issa Lyssa! *snugs* You've returned from the land of the dead! Though hopefully not quite as despondent as certain other people who reportedly travelled there...
Poor you. Laptop troubles abound this year. 2008 is not a good year for laptops, obviously.
*glomps a Shanrie* Ooh, eek, I didn't go there. I did go to a shopping centre called Dog Swamp a few times, mind you - woooo ;)
I am not despondent, just odd, which likely astonishes no-one.
Uh-oh, someone else had something electronic fry up on them? :/ I honestly don't know what it is with modern laptops - absolute piles of junk, even with brands that used to be trustworthy. Then again, they all source their bits from the same places these days, so feh ;P
I have had my boys, yes, even if they lose :D and AGH AGH I SAW COXXIE FROM AFAR, how good is that?? (It feels weird to be surrounded by fellow Weagles supporters after so many years in Tassie/Japan, let me tell you ... well, apart from the brain-diseased Dockies, anyway)
*cackles* I see McLeod as a male rit, I reckon ... ayep. /random
Wait, no, we won't do the GW comparison thing because I just remembered Woosha used to be called the 'Smiling Assassin' :O :O bah, squishin!
MY MUM SAW SHAUN TAIT AT THE PUB IN NAIRNE =DDD Which is not footy BUT STILL. I was envious.
But yes. Uni finishes up basically as soon as I get my last couple of assignments done, so then I'm free for a coupla weeks which is nice =D Digital Media is SO much more fun than Journalism. I'm glad I gave that up.
...McLeod is such a male rit. Male rits are hot X)~ OH. ANOTHER THING. Were you around when I saw Kerry Packer? I think my soul died D:
And Prince Rurik had donated him one of his kidneys?
>_>
Ooh, Digital Media would be totally kickayss!! :D Do you still do 3D modelling? (And blah, your spelling was too good for a bloody journo anyway - I had to deal with that for years at captions :P)
Clearly it is Fate that has brought me back now, then! Or possibly an auspicious alignment of the moon with the Planet of Soy.
I really need to check Elfwood ... haven't been active there for ages, so there shouldn't be -too- many comments ... I don't remember how to do Favourites either. I'm pretty sure you were already one of mine, though, since I transferred them all over from my original page ... er ... somehow.
I take it Elfwood's new layout is still endearingly bewildering and unhelpful ;)
Ahhh, the Startahundredthingsandfinishhalfofone Syndrome, I know it well ;) Are you still working with Cerberus & Co on the writing/art front, or are you taking a rest?
Money is always good ... painting glass to get it sounds like fun! Not so sure about the wedding shower, mind you, those are ... hectic >_> *salutes bravery*
I'm not really doing much at the moment - I work as the receptionist for the Major Crash Squad in the city now. The people I work with are lovely and friendly, but the work itself is pretty much mindless typing/phone answering, so I'm hoping not to stay -too- long.
Apart from that and my laptop necromancy ... nada ;) But I am of sound mind and have all my teeth!
(mind you, I did eat a tub of mint icecream tonight ... may not keep the teeth long)

Probably a shame, not seeing the swamp dog, because I do miss pets. Too many bloody 'no pet' places this close to Perth, and I'm IN one ... :/
Gah, your laptop is -still- on the blink? So taking it to the shop helped a lot, obviously :(

My friend's having a super hero themed birthday in a coupla weeks. If it wasn't the middle of winter, I'd SO make my brother go as Kikkoman.
