I got a katana recently. ^^ Ish pretty... also good for karate training... but I have no desk space left with which to display it... so it sits on my minifridge. >.>

*also looking forward to summer's end* Not only is the 35-40 weather rather unpleasant, job is sooooooo boring.... going back to essays will almost be a relief. It's what I get for choosing an English minor though. <.

My family left Japan with enough katana to invade New Zealand after they visited me ;D My Japanese friends are constantly bemused by our obsession with them. (But they're so shiny!!)

Ah, 35-40 here too, but then I'm a Western Aussie girl and positively thriving on it (more so than the locals, apparently) ;D Very humid here, though - things won't always dry out if you hang them up because of all the moisture in the air!
