I am now done exams and was so excited to knit again but now I've hit a knitting funk. I've been working on Jaywalker socks but I'm afraid that they will be too lose. I knit my first real pair of socks with 72 stitches and they stretched as soon as I wore them and now I'm swimming in them. I'm knitting the Jaywalkers toe-up with 36 across the sole. They fit well but I can stitck some fingers in too and I don't want another pair of socks which are too big, but I don't know how to make them smaller without making them too small.
Then I decided that I want to knit the
boobholder but her gauge is 13 sts/21 rows in 10 cm which is bizarre for worsted weight yarn. I was hoping to use my Cashmerino for it but I would have to use huge needles to get that gauge.
I still have my Dainty Bess scarf to work on but I like to have more than one thing on the go and I am very discouraged about socks now. Plus I won't be going to Seattle until May 4th so I can't play with my knitpicks goodies.
I am also considering making
Convertible out of Fleece Artist merino. Maybe I'll take a trip to Urban Yarns to pick out some. I really want to celebrate my freedom with some fun knitting.
