Ok, so I almost burned down the house last night. I was attempting to cook curry, and I guess I put too little oil in the pan and the heat was up too high. Still don't know quite what happened, as stuff like that usually happens when people leave the food alone, and I was there the entire time. I hear this phoof noise, and I see these flames like

Hi, I found your site the other day while I was looking for other people who love "Wicked"! I just wanted to say that your entries are really entertaining, genuine, and fun!

As for fires and dangerous kitchen accidents, I don't know of anyone who has made dumber mistakes than I have. Case in point #1: preheating the oven without checking to see if the baking tray of plastic ladles, measuring cups, etc. was in there (it was, and the air filled with embers and a weird smell). The other one is less embarrassing but more stupid.
