Yay Jammin'!
Dr. Wayne Kelly sent me an email today, and hopefully I will be jamming with his wife and friends some time in the next week or so when everything on campus settles down.
I'm soooo excited!!!
We will be working on "Our Town" by Iris Dement. Lovely song! It's so much fun to play and sing and I can't wait to see how it sounds with an entire band.
I'm a little nervous...he went on and on about how hard it is to duplicate her sound on this song and that he has heard a few people try and hasn't heard a good second version yet.
Yet. They haven't heard me YET. ;)
(I'm still nervous tho, ha!)
If you've never heard it before, here is a great video of the song. The first time I heard it I was like "eh" but as I listened to the words and the music I was in love with it by the end of the song!
