MY dogs dammit!
Went out to feed the dogs tonight. Ash came right away, Sparky didn't.
I knew exactly where he was. Walked down to that lady's house and he was under her porch. When I walked up, he BARKED at me! Then he would not come home.
I was not happy.
This lady gives them dog treats all the time and lets them into her house and feeds them when I'm not home. She's always giving them table scraps too like bread and popcorn and god knows what else.
I appreciate her giving my dogs so much attention, but when they won't come home, refuse to eat because they are already full, and BARK at me like I'm a stranger....not happening. I have made a lot of sacrifices for my dogs, taken care of them, and they are MY DOGS.
She has her own fucking pets! (This is the same woman that wanted to put a vicious stray dog with worms in my kennel overnight and I politely told her no.)
I finally got Sparky home, but he wouldn't eat of course.
So I left a note on her door:
"Please do not feed my dogs, give them treats, or let them inside your house. They have food, water, and treats at home. I went to get Sparky tonight and he barked at me and would not leave your porch. I do not like that. They are outside dogs, and they get fed every day. Please stop."
She is really nice and I know she means well, but my dogs have an owner.
I also think that she "feels sorry" for my dogs because they have to stay outside all the time. I have explained to her more than once that:
1) They were stray dogs to begin with; they are fine outside.
2) My boyfriend has allergies and I cannot keep them inside.
I dislike people who think it is their job to "rescue" your pets. Almost as annoying as when you tell your child they can't have something and they cry and when you turn your back someone gives that thing to your child because they think you are being "mean."
Anyway, she's nice so hopefully she'll do what I have asked and let me take care of my own dogs the way that I want to raise them.
