(no subject)
i woke up today, and my wall started shaking a lot. i was thinking "i know there's construction going on downstairs... but what could they possibly be doing to cause this?" and then i thought "oh... maybe that rusting pipe that my landlord decided to ignore is finally detaching itself from the wall..." so i walked into the other room to check...
but it wasn't until i got a text from my friend that i realized that the cause of the shaking was an earthquake! in spite of having lived in california for 3 years and japan for 8 months, this is the first one i ever felt... i'm so happy i didn't sleep through it for once!
in addition to the earthquake, cherry trees are starting to bloom everywhere. i now feel like i can say i've had the stereotypical japan experience :D
