I enjoyed this chapter and the little details from "Jensen's real life." I can't find anything on Bell Guard at the Berkner High School website.... maybe they gave up on it. Have you ever seen photos of the Ackles family? I have to admit I am curious.

I really liked the air of tension you created around Josh -- is he gonna be a problem, will he pick a fight? But no, he came around in a cool way and warmed up to Jared. A protective older brother, but not a jerk.

I like the natural way Jensen's scar comes up, but we still don't know the whole story. My favorite part was:
"“I was a new person, and it was like--the new person I was had been born with the scar. It was part of me and I didn’t have to be ‘pretty’ or perfect, I could just be.”"
It's a really great idea, that the scar has freed him from the expectations based on his appearance. Of course every time he smiles we still imagine that transcendent beauty! Also, the change of career has resulted in his becoming a really good PT and it gives him a lot of pride without any reason to second-guess himself.
I look forward to more of your stories!

Great way to end the chapter with a threat -- things can't possibly go well in San Antonio now right?

There's a family photo in the comments here. I've got one with Jensen and Josh somewhere but I can't findit.

I really wanted Jensen to not be blameless in the whole thing. He's made some assumptions about his family and his brother. He's let things go by without talking about them.

Heh. Yeah, I don't think Jensen's nearly as free from his looks as he thinks he is. But really. He has found a place in his life where he's proud of his work and knows it's not based on looks. He was happy even before Jared, and now his life's even better.

Re bell guard, I've seen these at jraunlimited; I think they're hilarious. Those sailor collars OMG!!! I guess the megaphone is the bell in question?

I do feel like a stalker, but I can't help it. My husband is an actor and he really doesn't like to think about the rps; however, I reassure him, rps is just like fantasy casting, putting actors into fictional and usually utopian stories -- we want them to be so happy with each other! I know how different brothers can look and your description of Josh just struck me. My husband's two brothers ( and his many boy cousins as well) are all really good looking but each in his own way. (I am the regular gosling married into a family of swans) My man's brothers are taller, and more conventionally "handsome", whereas he has the most beautiful mouth, enormous green eyes and flowing dark curls. So it just makes me wonder if Jensen is the girliest! (mine is) His dad is not much of a pretty boy. His mom tho, does kind of resemble Mary Winchester in this picture! Jensen seems to have been at his most luminous in Dark Angel; I've also seen some scenes from Dawson's Creek on youtube-- I love his hair style then -- isn't that the era of your "scar" icon? But he just keeps improving in my opinion! I'm 39, and the young things don't move me as much any more! Anyway, I hope you keep on with modelverse as well and kitty!!!

It is like fantasy casting. I dunno. With Jensen and Jared, it's not hard to see the love there, even if it is only as great friends. I want them to be that happy in every aspect of their lives, and imagining them together seems like it's not disrespectful, most of the time.

I'll have to find the pic of Josh. He's not ugly, just really plain. Like all the same elements just don't quite come together.

I loved Jensne in DA. Luminous was a perfect description. And the Long Hair. I love it. A lot of people hate it, which I totally don't get.

I'm 36 and going through my second teen-crush era. Silly little crushes on famous boys even though I'm a happily married woman. :)

Hi! Just came back to read again! Sporadically stalking Josh, I've found that he used to supe up cars, so that must be one reason Jensen did so well at Comic-con when someone asked him a technical question about the Impala (and Ben Edlund called him "a man"!) Still haven't come across any pix of him tho. On TV shows it is so easy to find out any old thing about anyone on the net!

Oh, I spotted a tiny glitch -- you gave Jensen the fingers of a masseuse, but it should've been a masseur. I didn't spot it the first time! :)
