J2 on the brain!
So this song is about this cowboy who is trying to catch and tame this wild stallion and EVERYTHING makes me think of J2 right now, so I thought:
Okay. Jared's this cowboy (post civil-war, but not by much) who is wanting to add horses to his struggling cattle ranch.
Problem is, he has no credibility and no stock and not much money.
There's this local legend (like 100 yr old legend) about a Palomino stallion up in the hills that can never be tamed. They say he's half devil and half horse and no man's laid hand on him and lived.
So Jared goes out one spring to catch this horse. And they run a merry chase. And after months of the horse avoiding his traps and dodging his lasso, Jared catches it. And another month goes by as he gentles it down. Til it comes when he whistles and eats from his hand
Now, Jared's wanting to bring this horse home, but he's afraid of such a beautiful animal being stolen from him. So he figures he should get his brand on it. And he does.
And he wakes up the next morning and there's a naked man in the corral where the stallion had been.
I'd write this fic except
1)my crack-fics always end up darkly weird in some way
2)I'm writing the firefighter!jensen already.
So there.
