First time ever that I've seen an opossum in the flesh. It wasn't particularly alarmed by me, though it kept its distance. Just as well, because I was checking it for foaming saliva. It seems, however, that opossums rarely contract rabies and are diurnal, contrary to popular belief. So its behaviour was not particularly strange after all, I guess. I probably could have outrun it, anyway. :)
