So, I got my copy of the Avatar "Lost Adventures" trade paperback in the mail today. Haven't had time yet for a thorough read-through, but I did flip through the table of contents and one caught my eye:
"Combustion Man on a Train".

This is how much Avatar has corrupted influenced me: when I saw Mae Whitman on tonight's SVU episode, I had mental images of Katara as a street kid.
Also, I think the ending would have rocked more if Casey had answered Cassidy/Helen's line of "I hate your guts" with Maj. Margaret Houlihan's famous response of "My guts are not here for you to love -

And once again, the Avatar fandom amazes me.
And by "amaze" I mean "makes me want to move out to a desert island away from them".

The results of Nick's Avatar OC contest are in
All I can say is I'm pretty disappointed in the choices. The Earthbending kid seems to be the most realistic of the bunch; the rest are pretty Stu-ish/Sue-ish.
Also, the phrase "My stomach already voted" is going to be iconed.
