the heavens are weeping for another long life ended
I'm sitting here with my computer and another mug of tea having good memories of watching Tim Conway years back as a part of Carol Burnett's troup of comedy geniuses. He died yesterday morning in L.A. at the age of 85. Carol Burnett stated that she was heartbroken. Mr. Conway had a knack for making his castmates on Burnett's show and Mama's Family totally lose it and crack up on stage, in their skits. Especially Harveny Korman, who died in 2008. As Carol Burnett Show alum Vicki Lawrence said, "Harvey and Tim are together again...the angels are laughing our loud tonight." So fitting. So, I'll shed a tear or two that a great entertainer is gone, then I'll watch the elephant sketch from Mama's Family and laugh my ass off, just like Tim Conway, Carol Burnett, and Dick Van Dyke did with Vicki Lawrence managed to beat Tim at his own game of coming up with new lines on the fly. Many thanks to Tim for all the love and laughter he gifted us with. He's at peace now.
