 I've been trying to think of something to say about Japan for a few days now, but any gesture I can make seems inadequate.  I can't process tragedy on such a massive scale.  It's just so horrible.  I really hope that things don't get any worse for them right now.  If any of you know somebody who's caught up in the disaster, my heart goes out to you and to them.  My mum's friend's son lives over there with his family - the last I heard they're safe, so I hope that no harm comes to them.  
Natural disasters are terrifying.
