I am le tired.
Just finished a 2 week retail course last friday, which included an interview at Debenhams. And I'm still not fully recovered. Being that nervous really takes it out of you. Fingers crossed I get the job! Not only does it seem like a fairly decent place to work, friendly people and all that... I'm just fed up of dealing with the job centre. Meh. Whatever happens I got an otherwise expensive course for free, a health and safety certificate and something called 'working with others'. I think that generally means 'basic people skills'. Woo! If I don't get the job there are plenty of places looking for Christmas temps. I just want something to do! And to maybe make a little money to squirrel away for my education!
Today I made some ear muffs for my big sister's Christmas present. They're red tartan and black fluff, a bit wonky but made with love ;) Might try again tomorrow, see if I can get the ear pieces to be more circular. But at least I've been able to make mum's sewing machine work - I'm now really glad mum made me do that sewing course! It was hard and scary at the time but it's definitely saved a lot of tears (of frustration and rage) down the line.
I used this
TUTORIAL, if you're interested in making your own at any point. T'was very useful. Though I would recommend working with fluffy material as little as possible - it makes a huge fluffy mess everywhere...
Anyhoo, might see if I can sort photos out at some point so I can show off my new crafty pride and joy. It's a pain not having my own camera at the moment.
