Rock the River was a very long but very fun day and I am now completely exhausted. We drank pretty steadily from about 1 onwards, so naturally my hangover is gargantuan. Guh. But it was worth it. Unfortuantely I have two complaints: A funfair was advertised, as was a hog roast. I didn't see any hogs a-roasting and the two kiddies attractions weren't rides as such - they weren't fun and it certainly wasn't fair. Harrumph. However, we were lucky enough to grab a table by the beer tent and held on to it for most of the day and most of the night. I got a wee bit sunburned because, by some glorious miracle, the sun actually shone down upon that picturesque little corner of North Wales. What a delight! And they forecast heavy rain *scoffs*
Screaming Citizens were mind-blowingly amazing, as always. (for the uninitiated, they're a band made up mostly of guys who went to my school, yet my praise is not due to 'I know them!' bias - they really are that good).
Futher to the funfair issue, apparently there will be a funfair next sunday which Sophie and I will go to. And if I'm dissapointed again... heads. WIll. Roll.
Summer is looking up a bit at the moment then :)
Also: I'm making sunday dinner featuring my famously delicious buttery-lemony-garlicy roast chicken with lemon and thyme stuffing. Mmmm food ^^
