sorceress out in the open. and klaus comes to town to try and manipulate her into worked for him. no one dares to challenge her after she turns klaus into vampire-souffle.

Teen Movies...Empire Records was my favorite for a long time. It came out when I was 10 but I don't think I saw it until a few years later, maybe 13? Clueless was another one just like that. 10 Things was excellent and actually one I saw in the theater when I was a teen. Same goes for Never Been Kissed. Cruel Intentions was fabulous. I was a bit obsessed with that one. Oh, and Save the Last Dance.

I loved A Walk to Remember and The Princess Diaries. And a bunch of teen horror films like Scream and Disturbing Behavior and Final Destination and Halloween H20...Saved! That was excellent, though I think I was almost 20 by the time it came out. Same goes for D.E.B.S., which might be more of a lesbian movie than a teen one but I LOVE that film!

Recently, I really enjoyed Easy A but that's probably because of my crush on Emma Stone...IDK, I just like teen movies, I guess? I'm not overly picky about them, though there are plenty I didn't/don't like.

Of the ones I mentioned, I think Saved!, D.E.B.S., Cruel Intentions, Scream and Empire Records are probably the best. Though I don't know that any of them are traditional teen movies :)

Yes please. And I giggled at "vampire-souffle" an embarrassing amount.

Ugh, Every single film you've mentioned has filled me with a wave of nostalgia. Clueless was such a definitive film. I think I was nine when I watched it but I just remember being so absorbed by everything, and then I watched it again after I'd read "Emma" for the first time and was doubly-delighted (I've probably watched that film 100 times).

Ugh, Empire Records, saw that in the cinema at around age 12 or 13, I want to say? So great.

D.E.B.S. was wondrous for me as a kid.

All of these movies are the best and I'm so happy you named them because I really want to watch Saved! and Never Been Kissed and Empire Records and Scream again.

I feel like the non-traditional or the slightly cynical teen movies are always the best for me? Like even 10 Things is doing something really fun with teen movies, and tongue-in-cheek that I love. Saved!, if I remember correctly, is straight-up subversive in its treatment of the genre, also D.E.B.S. You've made me inordinately happy.

I do wish I liked Emma Stone more because I could've liked Easy A. I think this new one, Pitch Perfect, might be quite entertaining, I'm going to see it tonight, I think.

I hope Pitch Perfect is as good as has been said because otherwise, I will be vastly disappointed It looks hysterical and the cast is rather excellent.

lol, I totally forgot Mean Girls in my list but that's another one that's just delightful. And I agree that teen movies that, in some way, subvert the genre are the best.
