Thanks to the generosity of SpaceCadet I got to go to the Orange County fair with her to see KC and the Sunshine Band in concert tonight. That was fun! Happy funk!
Speaking of fair (or faire), next weekend I will be working the World Renaissance faire in Irvine Lakes. www.worldrenaissancefaire.com It's a cool gig. A normal Renaissance faire from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a fantasy faire until 10 p.m. Normal hours on Sunday. The cost is $13/day, $23/weekend, with discounts for children, seniors, and the military. There's probably a $5 parking fee as well. My favorite Queen Elizabeth I will be there, so it should be a fun event. And it's blessedly local!
