Quick! While I still remember some of this stuff...

Actually I should be going to sleep about now, but mom found this really good German sweet wine at Trader Joe's on our last visit. It tastes like apricots!

Monday the 11th was my collapse in a heap while getting stuff done day. The two shirts remaining for Bri's boys made real progress. My allergies not liking me.

Tuesday-I took mom over to DMV so she could take her written driving test. CA starts testing seniors once they reach 80 years of age (or start having problems). Mom had studied a lot and passed just fine. We went out for Italian food to celebrate. How church was very international. Some members who had recently visited Russia and Ukraine on a mission trip spoke. As did a missionary to (not remembering the name of the country now, but in Southern Africa). And we had a report from a pastor visiting from South Korea. Very interesting and very enlightening.

Wednesday-Back to work. Picture Gallery closing shift and I was on a register. Dinner with my daughter and my niece from Texas. Megan (my niece) had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out the next day and is fine.

Thursday-A rather frustrating day at work. I got caught between a management bad (read stupid) idea and a lead from another shop (who thought she was in charge) who was either ocd or pmsing or both. Oh yeah, and I was on a register again and had good sales.

Friday-I worked my first after hours private party at Knotts. It was listed as Odessey Adventures, but I think it was a a pre-event tied to Long Beach Pride. My boss had warned me that it was an event sponsored by the alternative sexuality community. I happened to walk by the main stage while going to clock in. The event hadn't started yet, so I caught part of sound check. A man was singing "Over the Rainbow." I kid you not. I thought, yup, this is going to be interesting. And it was. My favorite photo of the night was the group of 7, most of which were men who had known each other, seemingly for most of their lives. Gray hair and all. One of the group was a transgender. I put her in a saloon girl outfit, of course. Since I was on a register I didn't get to leave the park until after 1:30 a.m.

Saturday-Luckily my next work shift didn't start until 3:30, but I really didn't have enough time to recover. My poor feet! I got to work only to discover that not only was it Gospel Music Day, but that there were 20,000 people in the park! The difference between the two people groups made my head hurt. It was a pretty good day at work for me. Came home and collapsed!

Sunday was Corona faire, weekend two, which I'll write next.

This week? Working 3 days, then I get to go out to Corona for most of the Memorial Day holiday! Hooray!
